What is RISE?
RISE stands for Redlands Independent Study Education. It is not a school, but rather a program where students in the Redlands Unified School District can receive their education through independent study. All of our students are registered at their home school and can return to that school at any time. The RISE program is voluntary and can be an alternative to the regular school program. Our students follow the same state and district approved curriculum and even the same textbooks in most cases.

Students with the ability and desire to work independently to complete assignments, score well on state assessemnts, and have support at home, but are unable to attend school on a daily basis, may be good candidates for independent study.

For more information please contact us at: (909) 307-5390.

  Intake for NEW  Students

All  intakes for new students will be held in the RISE office.  Students need to continue attending their home school until they are called for an intake date and time.  The RISE program only accepts students as space is available so the process may take a couple of weeks.  You will be called for an intake as soon as your application is accepted into the RISE program and an intake date is scheduled.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please call the RISE office.

“We are all inventors, each sailing out on a voyage of discovery, guided each by a private chart, of which there is no duplicate. The world is all gates, all opportunities.”

- Ralph Waldo Emerson
